Salsa lessons with the Boogie Wonders every Sunday at The Get Down in Japan Town in San Jose. Learn the unique salsa style of the Boogie Wonders which is a little bit funky, a little bit Latin and a whole lot of fun. The beginner class on Sunday is for absolute beginners and those who know basic salsa, but want to practice, drill and feel more comfortable social dancing. Students will learn the salsa basic, fundamentals, timing and simple partnerwork. For the intermediate class, students must already know the salsa basic. Here, students will master timing, learn variations of patterns, footwork, styling, musicality and focus more on body movement. In this class, students will learn to incorporate different genres of dance (house, locking, waacking, hip hop) to their own dance. There is also a 6-week salsa series taught on Thursdays which teaches a progression of salsa footwork partnerwork from beginning to intermediate levels.
