Chinese Performing Arts of America (CPAA) CPAA, parent organization of CPAA Arts Center, is a non-profit organization based in Silicon Valley founded in 1991. A group of young artists and renown masters gathered under the leadership of Ann Woo, Yong Yao, and Phil Young to present the best of Chinese performing arts and create new works. Partially funded by government agencies and private foundations, CPAA strives to grow as an art and culture institute serving the greater San Jose and San Francisco Bay Area. Dedicated to the principle and goal of nurturing new talents and producing new works year after year, CPAA in the past decade a decade accumulated a rich repertoire of creative works in music and dance, including the famed Dragon2000
