Nyla Crystal is a multi-award winning, professional belly dancer. Her youthful and energetic performances will captivate your guests and keep them mesmerized with beautiful flowing veils, rhythmic finger cymbals and her signature sword dance, which will be sure to keep your guests at the edge of their seats! Equipped with a large network of belly dancers and musicians, Nyla Crystal can provide multiple performers for your event if requested. Nyla Crystal performs regularly in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area. Belly dancing classes are taught in Davis, CA at Fiesta DanceN'Fitness. Classes include belly dance technique and choreography. Whether you are new to belly dance and want to get a good grasp of the basics or a veteran student wanting to improve movement quality and build core muscle strength, the technique class will help you achieve your belly dance and fitness goals. Intermediate/advanced class focuses on choreography with opportunities to perform with the student troupe Kanz al Sahara. A worldwide performer, Nyla Crystal has performed in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan and Reykjavik, Iceland. In addition, she was a featured workshop instructor at the Floralia belly dance festival in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Other notable performances include Cirque du Soleil after-party at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA for the cast of Alegria, The San Francisco Tease-o-rama show presented by Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity, Concert with Turkish rock group Hazerfan on the Painted on Water tour featuring Turkish pop star Sertab Erener, Herbalife Corporate Party, Miraflores Winery and 3 years of SanDisk's International Festival. Recently, Nyla Crystal passed her qualifying exam for a Ph.D. program in Biochemistry at the University of California at Davis where she is researching the molecular pathways of breast cancer. When she is not at the lab or sleeping, she is dancing!
