Join us at our next event with great live music. No partner needed: this is a friendly crowd that mixes around. Or, dance with your regular partner(s). Your choice of lessons (you can start at 2:30 and move to basics if you wish) 2:30 - 3:30: Intermediate level waltz lesson plus a taste of another style OR 2:45 - 3:30: Waltz Basics The Social dance: waltzing and other couple dances. 3:30 - 6:00: Sliding Scale admissions @ January 2024: Students/Limited budget: $10, Regular Admission: $15, Supporter: $20. You may pay any amount within the scale. Regular admission helps us to break even on this event. Supporters help others come to the dance and allows us to pay our musicians closer to what they are worth. We provide Kosher snacks at the break. Vaccines and masks are optional. Check our website for more details, and our FAQ page. Also, you can watch our Videos to see our typical waltzing style. The program features lots of waltzes-- fast, slow and in between. Other couple dances (swing, tango, blues, polka, schottische etc., ) comprise about one-third of the program. The first dance, which is optional, is an easy waltz mixer. Our dance is all about having fun and dancing (or learning how to dance) in pleasant company. COME AND JOIN US!!! Dress is casual, but nice. We suggest layered clothing that can be shed when you become warmed up. We also recommend lightweight shoes with a sole that can slide and rotate without being too grippy.
