Cheltenham Tango Festathon is organized by a bunch of Tango enthusiasts At our event we are combining some aspects of a festival and marathon into one and we want to celebrate tango in all its colours, forms and styles - be it live music, social dancing, shows for watching, performances by professional artists as well as opportunity to improve ones own skills in workshops. After all, the word Festival does mean feast and holiday; its a period of celebration held annually. And so, for us this is a tango festivity lasting the whole weekend. Its a celebration of our love and joy for Tango. It is an opportunity to meet people who share the same passion. We believe that tango unites people and the old saying if one can walk, then one can tango is very true! We offer day time and evening milongas during the Festathon weekend and it is over 30 hours of dancing available for you to enjoy. In the evenings we also have a separate room dedicated to alternative tango music. Our next 9th CITF event will be 16-18 August 2024.
