GBG Tap Weekend is the tap dance festival run by a bunch of swing dancers who after a few years of lindy hopping became addicted to tap dance. Since it's organised by swing dancers it's focused on rhythm tap and swing jazz music, which is an essential part of the history of tap dance. At GBG Tap Weekend you can take tap classes and tap jam. In the evenings we jam and Saturday night we turn the venue into a jazz club where different swing dance styles are welcome such as Lindy Hop and Balboa. We want to create a space where dancers and musicians can jam, dance and play together.
