DJane Susanne Mhlhaus likes to play at tango events and dance parties just ask. When the seats empty as soon as the first notes of a new tanda ring out because the dancers are magically drawn onto the dance floor by music they can't resist - that is Susanne's idea of DJ happiness when she's DJing. People beaming with joy are her greatest reward. Susanne organizes the weekly Milonga SUR in Munich every Sunday. However, she rarely DJs here because she wants to concentrate on her role as host and prefers to dance herself - as carefree as is possible at her own event. She has DJed at the Tango Otoo Festival in Innsbruck and milongas in Germany, Austria, Norway and at "El Corte" in the Netherlands. "The tangos, valses and milongas of the Golden Age fascinate and touch me and I let myself be guided by them." She loves the romantic lyrics of the tangos, which don't seem kitschy to us even today. During numerous stays in Buenos Aires and in DJ seminars, she learned from the most experienced Argentine DJs, such as Mario Orlando and Gabriel Sodini, the art of creating successful tandas and creating a suspenseful arc throughout the entire evening from the beginning to the end of a milonga. Pablo has choreographed many shows, danced in all the great theaters around the globe and he teaches Tango world-wide.
