You're Invited!
Dancing Classrooms is hosting a festive swing dance party on Friday, January 28th from 7-9pm at Riverside Church! Our Senior Teaching Artists and swing experts, Akemi Kinukawa and Felix Pitre, will demo the shim sham and teach us some swing steps and some of our professional dancer friends will be in attendance to swing you around the dance floor. Featuring live swing jazz music led by band leader, Summer Camargo, of Juilliard and Carnegie Hall's National Youth Orchestra.
Join us for a jazzy night in support of the #artseducation work Dancing Classrooms does to bring the joy and power of dance to K-12 students in NYC in beyond — a midwinter night swing dance break for you!
Proceeds from this festive dance party will support our mission to cultivate essential life skills through the art and joy of social dance in over 150 NYC schools and 10 affiliates sites.
