WE ARE BACK!! After taking a brief break during the May veteran holiday's and America's Independence day in July, we are ready to get back on the dance floor. Come out every Thursday at 7pm starting July 11th through Sept 19th to learn how to Salsa dance or if you already know how to dance, come improve on your skills. Not only do we teach amazing dance techniques and cool moves to show off on the dance floor, but we incorporate the true therapeutic power of dance and music which has a wide range of physical and mental benefits including: Improved condition of your heart and lungs Increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness Increased aerobic fitness Reduction in stress and anxiety Weight management Better coordination, agility and flexibility Improved balance and spatial awareness Increased physical confidence Improved mental functioning Improved general and psychological well-being Reduction in stress Greater self-confidence and self-esteem Improved and increased social skills. This is a progressive dance class so you will learn and improve each week with new steps, techniques and lead and follow tips and tricks as well as dance etiquette. Previous dance experience or having a dance partner are not required to take the class. The class is FREE for anyone currently serving in our nation’s military, veterans and first responders & immediate family members. Anyone else wishing to take the class, a $10 donation per class is requested to help cover the cost of the program. If you choose to bring a dance partner, you may do so regardless of military or first responder background and the class will also be FREE of cost to you or your partner. Classes begin on Thursday July 11th and every Thursday after that, through August 15th (Keep in mind that classes may be rescheduled. You may arrive as early as 6:30pm. and stay after class to practice the dance moves you've learned with your partner or other students. (if you are a member of Tattler post you may arrive & leave at your discretion) This is a 6-week class series (once per week) but may be extended at times. We request that you register for each class you plan to attend. If you plan to attend all 6, then we ask that you register for each one. It helps us anticipate the number of students that will attend the class.
