We save the best for Friday with a guided all-day exploration of San Diego's most Instagram-worthy destinations, including one of the most scenic and secluded stretches of coast in the whole of the city, Blacks Beach. This $25 all-inclusive experience includes transportation, photo ops, guided hiking, bottled water, rum punch cocktails, and a beach picnic comprised of breads, cheeses, fresh fruit, veggies, hummus, salsa, and chips. All attendees must RSVP and pay in advance to secure a spot on the adventure. The day begins with a green van shuttle departing from ITH Adventure Hostel at 11am en route to arrive at the ITH Beach Bungalow at 11:30am. We'll then hang out for 30 minutes on the sun deck of the hostel, enjoying hosted cocktails and getting to know one another as we await the arrival of tourgoers from other nearby hostels. Surfboards and wetsuits are also available for rent during this time, and can likewise be strapped down to the green van for use at Blacks Beach later in the day. Once everyone is all set, we'll hop in the van and take the scenic route up the coast, with quick photo-op stop offs at Sun Gold Point--a south-facing lookout point boasting impressive views of the coast and nearby Bird Rock--as well as Mount Soledad--a mountaintop monument that affords 360-degree views of the entire San Diego area. The view from Sun Gold Point :O Mount Soledad After we've gotten our fill of amazing views, we'll park the van at the trailhead of the Blacks Beach hike. The hike itself takes only about 25 minutes to complete, but it's worth noting that there are some moderately difficult stretches that may be challenging for some. If you're not comfortable with heights or walking narrow stretches of rock, this hike might not be for you. That said, we see locals bring dogs and surfboards and strollers down the same trail, so, it's not thatttttt tricky. You just gotta move gracefully. And if you would prefer, we can point the way to the paved road access point, and then meet up with you once again down on the beach. After the hike, we'll toast to our collective athleticism and achievement with a beach picnic comprised of breads, cheeses, fresh fruit, veggies, hummus, salsa, chips, and our signature rum punch. We'll then enjoy 1.5 hours of beach time with all blankets, towels, and sports gear spread out across the sand. At 3pm, we pack up, hike up, and load into the van for a return ride to drop off guests at ITH Beach Bungalow at 3:45pm and ITH Adventure Hostel at 4:15pm.
