FRAC festival , 5th Edition , 9. 10. 11. August 2019 , Monumental Complex of San Giovanni , Catanzaro. Save the dates !! FRAC - Research Festival for Contemporary Arts is back for its fifth edition , announcing the dates and a new location , which will welcome a lineup as always rich and composite , able to range between multiple areas: music , performing arts , visual arts , theater and research dance. The scenario that will host the festival will be the Monumental Complex of San Giovanni di Catanzaro , a national monument that rises on the area of the ancient Norman Castle , right in the city center. MEMORIE DAL FUTURO is the title that accompanies this 2019 edition of FRAC , a reflection on personal transformation through our paths and our life experiences. Ever since we were children our imagery has been pervaded by symbols and images that with the passing of the years remain imprinted within us , expanding and becoming contaminated to codify a sort of personal alphabet , through which we unknowingly associate concepts with certain objects. It is the past that influences our every thought and every present and future action. And so we return to the past with awareness , digging into the roots of our identity , without spoiling them , using this spleen as a yearning for a knowledge and a reality that is not yet realized , a nostalgia for the future that accompanies us in our creative journey.
