Buenos Aires is coming to Louisville. For 3 magical days, the Seelbach Hotel will sizzle with the passion and artistry of Argentine Tango. The Louisville Tango Festival brings you this international event of world-class dancers, live music, and the chance to live the Tango moment. Our Saturday Showcase, Concert, and Milonga feature performing artists and hundreds of tango dancers. Don’t miss the magic.
This year’s theme is “The Great Gatsby”; attire for participants is the glamorous style of the 1920s. Showcase performing artists include: international tango stars Eleonora Kalganova, Oscar Casas, and Daniela Roig & Hernan Prieto, and music by Cuarteto Tanguero and Rodrigo Saraibe, DJ Charrua Tango.
Louisville’s historic Seelbach Hotel, 500 South Fourth Street, is the site of all Festival activity. The Saturday evening Showcase, Concert, and Milonga are open to the public; tickets at the door are $65. Doors open at 9:30pm with the MILONGA, followed by live music by Cuarteto Tanguero, and the professional Showcase. In true Milonga form, the evening goes until 4:00am. Save $5 by purchasing tickets before June 6, available at LouisvilleTangoFestival.com.
*New this year- we offer a beginners class from 8-9:30pm, free of charge and open to the public, for everyone wishing to experience this beautiful dance form.
