Arts in Our Community: Maryland Winds The mission of the Columbia Festival of the Arts is to present a world-class celebration of the arts and entertainment that attracts, engages and inspires the broad and diverse community it serves. The Festival uses the arts to remind us of our shared values and to make our community stronger. Our Arts in Our Community posts highlight some of the other amazing arts organizations and events that make our community better. Maryland Winds is a new ensemble of professional musicians in the greater BaltimoreWashington, DC, area who are current or past performers with major symphony orchestras, premier military bands, music educators, or active freelance musicians.
