Cost $20. 6:15pm to 8pm
Requirements: Must already know basic salsa footwork such as the forward & back basic, right turn, and cross body lead. Knowing basic salsa footwork allows us to learn a different style of salsa more quickly. This will be a fast paced class designed for people that don't know Cuban salsa (Casino & Salsa Rueda de Casino), but already know another style of salsa. We will focus on the basic transition moves for changing partners so that you can participate in a salsa rueda dance without getting run over.
Salsa Rueda, otherwise known as Rueda de casino involves multiple couples performing a dance move that is called out by a caller. The couples form a circle. The caller will call out either turn patterns that only involve each couple, or involve the entire group, or involve switching partners. The turn patterns learned in this class can be danced as a group or as a single couple.
