Our Friday April 6 dance will feature drop-in lessons, live DJing, and dedicated ballrooms for BOTH genres plus for the very first time ever in Chicago welcome global kizomba superstar Kristofer Mencák & Chicago's own Shafeeha Monae to share a demo performance to kick-off their signature Kizomba Fusion Master Bootcamp series over the rest of the weekend! Kizomba lesson will occur in the Main Ballroom with instruction by Just Jacob, while tango lesson will occur in the Loft Ballroom with instruction by Rod Jenny Tango. Participants are welcome to try either lesson! + 10pm: Party starts with LIVE mixing by DJ Rod R Tango in the Loft Ballroom for tango and DJ Just Jacob for kizomba in the Main Ballroom. For the Loft Ballroom's tango emphasis, expect a mix of traditional tandas as well as a taste of so-called alt. tango musical genres.
