First Kizomba | Tango Friday At Dance Center Chicago March 2018

Dance Center Chicago, Just Jacob, & Rod Jenny Tango Present: First Kizomba | Tango Friday! We had a big response to our first experiment with a joint tango + kizomba dance party in Chicago that we decided to do it again! Our Friday March 2 dance will feature drop-in lessons, live DJing, and dedicated ballrooms for BOTH genres--more info: ▬▬▬▬ TICKETING ▬▬▬▬ + ADVANCED: $10 via buy link [hidden] + DOOR: $15, includes both drop-in lesson and dance party! ▬▬▬▬ SCHEDULE ▬▬▬▬ + 9pm: Doors Open + 9:15pm: Simultaneous drop-in lessons for both kizomba and tango! Tango lesson will occur in the Main Ballroom with instruction by Rod Jenny Tango. Kizomba lesson will occur in the Loft Ballroom with instruction by Just Jacob. Participants are welcome to try either lesson! + 10pm: Party starts with LIVE mixing by DJ Just Jacob for kizomba in the Loft Ballroom and DJ Rod Tango in the Main Ballroom for tango. With the Loft Ballroom's kizomba emphasis, expect a mix of at least 80% kizomba, ghetto zouk, coladeira, urban kiz, semba, kompa, etc. with a taste of other rhythms, e.g. dancehall, bachata, salsa, etc. For the Main Ballroom's tango emphasis, expect a mix of traditional tandas as well as a taste of so-called alt. tango musical genres. + 2am: Done! :D ▬▬▬ MORE DETAILS ▬▬▬ + Dancers of every skill level from absolute beginner to advanced are welcome with no partner necessary, no special dress code, no age limit, and no drama! + Attenders above the age of 21 are welcome to BYOB; remember to drink responsibly :) + Location is Dance Center Chicago at 3868 N.
