Join The Grand and Urban Pulse at J. Gumbo's for another exciting and unique dance class. Let's Tango, Wausau!
Instructors Todd and Julia Barrington from the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet will provide an hour of tango instruction starting at 7:30 PM. Participants will then be able to practice their new skills to the sultry sounds of Argentine tango.
Part of The Grand’s Community Engagement Series, the class is a free event for all ages and all skill levels. No dance experience or partner necessary. A $5 donation for the instructors is appreciated, but not required.
The Grand is committed to providing educational and exciting experiences both inside and outside of the theater through its Community Engagement Series. Community Engagement events aim to enhance performances at The Grand by providing context, background information, and unique and fun educational experiences that complement Season shows.
Learn more about the dance that inspired "Carmen," one of the greatest tragic masterpieces of all time. The Moscow Festival Ballet will perform both "Carmen" and "Romeo and Juliet" at The Grand on January 24th.
