Get funky and learn some new moves at this hip hop dance workshop! The class will cover the basic grooves of urban dance and advanced styles that will elevate your dancing abilities. Be prepared to learn choreography and to explore freestyle techniques.
Joe is excited to share his passion for hip hop with the wonderful Nevada City community.

Joe has been teaching, choreographing and performing for over 15 years. His friend and mentor, the late Gary Kendall, was a founding member of the now world famous dance crew: Jabbawockeez. Joe has performed alongside the Jabbawockeez in the international touring shows Monster Shop Bump’n and Breakshop. He was a co-founder of the Gee Fam Dance Convention, an annual dance event that honors the legacy of Gary Kendall and his teachings. He has been a principal performer at special events for: Sony, Pixar, Kaiser Permanente, Oracle, Salesforce, and more. Joe has instructed at several universities including Stanford University, University of San Francisco, Sonoma State University, and more. His choreography has been featured several times at the acclaimed San Francisco Hip Hop Dance Fest. Joe has directed professional hip hop companies including The UNIT, Fresh FX, and Shadow Optix. Currently, he is faculty at Truckee Dance Factory, working with the many talented dancers and directing the youth hip hop company Boogie Bots. Joe is determined to share his love and passion for dance to all who are willing to embrace the power of performing arts.
