Julia Alcantara has been producing top notch flamenco in Dallas for 20 years. Her extensive training and connections with amazing artists around the globe inspired her to create her own dance company. Now, Ida y Vuelta Flamenco brings incredible singers, dancers & guitarists to perform in to Dallas.
This show will feature Luis Linares, "El Tiburon" from San Antonio. The Linares family has a long legacy of flamenco in Texas. Tibu grew up in a home, which doubled as his Mother's flamenco dance studio. His father "El Patriarca", taught him to sing & play at a very young age. .
He began his professional career accompanying Fandango and Danza Hispana in San Antonio and The Boston Flamenco Ballet. Tibu has performed in Ecuador, Mexico, Germany, Spain and through out the United States. He recently finished an eight-month contract on Royal Caribbean’s Voyager, as headliner in the 1500 seat La Scala Theatre. Luis recently released his third CD.
Tibu has had the pleasure of working with Antonio Hidalgo, Jose Junco, Jose Moreno, Roberto Castellon, Vicente Griego, Valeria Montes, Nata Novela, Kyoko Terrada, Canela, Julia Alcantara, Conte de Loyo, Antonio Santa Ella, Martin Gaxiola, Carlota Santana, Teo Morca as well as many others.
