On July 16th Michelle Ramos and Abraham Rosales directors of Bonito Y Sabroso Dancers will be at Studio 65 for an EXCLUSIVE 4-HOUR SALSA ON1 BOOTCAMP.
This workshop is designed for students to gain a clear sense of how to improve as social dancers. Everything taught in this workshop will be geared towards social dancing using practice drills which students will be able to practice at home. Michelle and Abraham will be sharing the tips and tricks that they use to dance with flavor, ease, and most of all connection to the music.
1.Body Movement: Introduction to Abraham and Michelle's specially designed movement training program. This workshop can be taken by absolute beginners but will also give an advanced dancer great insights about how to dance with flavor and have a natural look. The first half of the workshop will focus on isolation exercises and the second half will combine body movement with a basic step sequence.
2.Timing/ Musicality/ ear training Abraham and Michelle are known for their Musicality when they social dance or choreograph. Their favorite thing to incorporate in their classes is teaching students to connect with the music. This workshop will focus on how to be musical with the On1 style as well as give students musicality and ear training exercises.
3.Ladies styling/ men's footwork Styling and footwork involves more than just the arms and feet. Michelle will be teaching the ladies how to to “style” with the whole body while Abraham teaches the men footwork with a focus on efficient stepping technique and body placement.
4.Bringing it all together / partnering Here we will put it all together. Students will learn a partnering sequence using body movement, style, and most of all connection to the music.
