ROOT DOWN and Get It! Put on your comfy shoes and dance the night away at The Sahara Lounge.
Kicking off the night is Khali Haat. Part psychadelic, part Afrobeat, all funk. I dare you to not bust a move when the horns blow and the drum-n-bass lay down a groove.
Bringing you some 70's-style Afropop is Bamako Airlines. They channel the call-n-response, wicked guitar solos, trippy polyrhythms, and punchy horn lines. Kwassa, kwassa, baby!
Closing the evening is the impressive salsa band, Timberos del Norte. Seriously, you're in for a treat. This Latin band will transport you to Havana. Mixing traditional salsa with folk and funk, you're bound to be swept off your feet.
As always, The Sahara Lounge will be slinging cold cocktails. Free parking. Free hugs.
