Adult Beginner Contemporary Dance:
Marquette’s contemporary is all about feeling, emotion on stage, and healing yourself through choreography. If you ever wanted to learn contemporary dance this is the workshop for you. This class is geared towards adult performers that want to learn in a non-competitive and non-judgmental space. Not only will you learn a contemporary routine but we will also work on contemporary improv, floor-work, flow, and stage presence. Great for the beginning dancer and the advanced dancer looking to improve their skill set. Adults only (16+).
What to wear: No shoes needed. Clothes that will help you slide across the floor
Beginning Adult Street Jazz/Hiphop:
Marquette is known for her street jazz style, so get ready for some booty shaking fun. Street jazz is a fusion of classic jazz and hip-hop. This workshop will start with a hip hop dance warm-up and follow with across the floor technique. Don’t worry if you have never done a pirouette or body roll. We will learn all that in class and follow up with a Street Jazz dance routine that you will master. Please note that this class will have a bit of sass and sexy. What to wear: Sneakers or barefoot. Clothes you can move in.
