Saidi & Assaya Master Class With Tarifa Salem

Tarifa Salem, Middle Eastern Dance Artist is owner of Tarifa Salem Eastern Dance Arts, LLC. Her Lebanese background played a big role in her involvement with the Eastern Dance Arts. Her uncle & mentor, Ibrahim Farrah was her inspiration in developing her art and pursuing graduate studies in dance. She performed with the Ibrahim Farrah Near East Dance Group and performed regularly at many Middle Eastern establishments such as the Darvish, Cedars of Lebanon and the Ibis from 1979 – 1982. Though she studied with Mr. Farrah intensively from 1978 – 1983, she also took classes with Middle Eastern Dance Artists and Ibrahim Farrah Proteges Phaedra and Jajouka. She earned her MA Degree in Dance Education from NYU.
