Modus Méchanique is an experimental ballet with printing presses and percussion that explores the intersections between body and machine, ephemera and the archive, music, movement, memory and materiality.
Please join us for a night of music, dance, performance art and a live printing demonstration in a unique, intimate setting. Featuring local maker and print artist James Tucker of the Aesthetic Union making his musical debut on the letterpress with musician Daniel Yasmin, performing a score developed by composer and sound artist Goyo Aranaga.

The Aesthetic Union, San Francisco is a correspondence & print shop just along Alabama Street tucked inside the Heath Ceramics building in the Mission that specializes in smaller, high end print runs. We work with designers to flesh out ideas using traditional printing methods resulting in timeless ephemera.

Bad Unkl Sista is a performance installation ensemble that combines stillpoint choreography, improvised music, couture costuming, and physical theater elements to produce site-specific experiences that seek to move each witness to a state of extraordinary and memorable being. [hidden]
