Bloom Fundraiser

You are invited to an evening of inspiring performances of soulful jazz and folk music and singing, poetry reading, and middle eastern dancing by local artists to benefit the American Diabetes Association on April 27, 7-9pm at Spark Arts Gallery, SF. Representatives from the ADA will be present to speak about the mission of the organization and to answer questions. Performers lineup Chaia May has been singing Jazz and other styles in the Bay Area since 1986. She has performed at Bay Area venues such as the Sofitel and San Francisco Hyatt as well as at local clubs and living room concerts. Her favorites are romantic standards, boleros and bossa nova, preferring to sing them in their original Spanish, French and Portuguese when possible. She is delighted to join this event! Wykobe Enz, formed in 2016, comprises a group of musicians who formed a bond over their passion for acoustic melodies, driving rhythms, storytelling, love of nature, and coastal living. Inspired by the pursuit of love and meaning, Wykobe Enz takes personal stories from the lead singer-songwriter guitarist, Patrick Kobernus, and draws you in with a mix of rock and jazz-infused sounds. Their debut album, Dragon & Sheep, is a culmination of songs that chronicles life through times of love and self-reflection to define who we are through unique and shared experiences. [hidden] Megs Rutigliano is a prominent Blues and Jazz singer who has performed widely in Europe’s top clubs and outdoor music festivals with her band Lion's Roar. Rutigliano has built a following during her seven years in San Francisco, California, singing with MegaFlame Big Band and Cabaret ([hidden]). Her troupe has been known for bringing vintage songs from a bygone era together with modern touches like flame performance and fan dance and new twists on contemporary music. She is known for striking costumes and conjuring energy that crosses several eras. Her style is sexy 1920s-inspired cabaret combination of jazz, blues, and soul with a burlesque twist. [hidden] Garrik Danilov was born on a sunrise minute and hour in Odessa, USSR in an artistic family. He graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in journalism. Since then, he has traveled around the world in search of his true self. Presently, Garrik has a chiropractic practice in SF. Secret language of poetry has become his pathway to his inner world. Philosophy, spiritual science, love, zest for life are just a few signposts which help him navigate through oceans of life. Dasha Jakobson is a lifelong dancer of various genres. After dancing Argentine tango for 15 years, she's found a new passion for the middle eastern rhythms and has been styding belly dance for the past three. She has performed for friends and family, as well as participated in the Redwood City Christmas Parade. She is delighted to be organizing this event to benefit a cause very close to her heart. This show is sure to leave you touched, moved, and inspired! Early bird tickets are available for a limited time. More Info below.
