Join Drop Squad Crew at Salsa N' Seattle this Sunday for a Intermediate Hip Hop Choreo workshop taught by guest instructors Jaime Lopez and Zahra Masaoka! 7-8pm: Intermediate Hip Hop Choreo w/ Jaime Lopez 8-9pm: Intermediate Hip Hop Choreo w/ Zahra Masaoka Cost $12 or class punch (Free for Drop Squad and SNS Students with Solo/Unlimited Membership) **Please arrive 15 minutes early to register so we can get class started on time** CLASS DESCRIPTION Jaime: This class will focus on developing textures and strengthening quality of movement through intermediate level choreography but all levels welcomed to come and train! Zahra: This class will consist of empowering exercises and a combo that aim to embody feminine movement and performance. Class is open to ALL but will be taught at an intermediate level. Heels are optional but encouraged! INSTRUCTOR BIOS Jaime Lopez began his dance journey by entering the bboy world and diving into the culture of hip hop. Battling in his local and surrounding communities. Hungry to develop himself as an artist he joined his first company called Kontagious to develop skills in choreography. He would later become a captain/leader and take those skills to start a high school competition team at the age of 18 and in three years of existence managed to lead them to being the 4th highest placing team in the state of WA. His dance experience stretches from video shoots for clothing company, performing for some of LAs popular choreographers at local events and performing in stadiums in front of 16,000 people for events such as "WE DAY". Zahra Masaoka was born and raised in Seattle and has been dancing for 10 years. She is an alumni member of the performance groups Breaking Point Dance Company, Boomkatzz, Boogiezone Breed Seattle, and is a current member of Westsiders and Malicious Allure. Zahra can also be spotted dancing in Macklemore’s music videos, “Brad Pitt’s Cousin” and “Dance Off”. She is currently developing and strengthening her feminine movement by focusing her training on club/street styles such as waacking and vogue. More Info below.
