DJ Galo first moved to Canada from Angola at the age of 12. He began his journey as a DJ back in 2004 when he debuted at local night club (Trinport), where he quickly became the resident DJ. During that time he was also requested to play regularly at the Angolan community parties in Canada. DJ Galo featured in several major festivals throughout Canada and overseas. Through his DJ career Galo had the previllege of working with renown Kizomba and Semba artists such us: Euclides Da Lomba, Carlos Burity, Maya Cool, Johnny Ramos, Timmy, Jamice, And Atim. Being specialized in the African music genre of Kizomba, Semba, Zouk, Coladeira, Kuduro, Afrohouse and more, He was able to found and Co-found popular events in Toronto such as “Toque” and “So Kizomba Nights”. He has also traveled the world and played in cities like Lisbon, Hamburg, Birmingham, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Karlsrue. Paris and more. Currently he is one the of the organizers of the first Kizomba only festival in Toronto “SKF” (So Kizomba Festival). DJ Galo’s musicality while playing is undeniable, due to his background he is able transcend musically through the night while contaminating his crowd, reason why he is currently the most sought Kizomba DJ in Canada.
