Our dear tango friends! We want to greet you again at the Encuentro Milonguero event Tango Embrace Slovenia 2023. The most adorable event, filled with wonderful, warm hugs and with a small group of tangueros from all around the world, for an unforgettable tango adventure. We can guarantee you that you wont forget those feelings easily, and we believe that you will want to come back again and again. We have found a magnificent location at Grand Hotel Rogaka Slatina, where we have found the most delightful hall and quality accommodation options. There, we will pamper each other with tango, educate ourselves with selected tango workshops for those a little more eager for new tango skills, enjoy good food and drinks, and of course, when we get tired from tango, we can relax in the SPA. Tango Embrace event can take up to 150 participants who dance milonguero style, enjoy dancing in close-embrace, and want to get to know new people and share unforgettable tandas with them. Save the date! Event date: SEPTEMBER 8 10, 2023 Registration opens: MARCH 1, 2023 About the Crystal Hall Rogaka Slatina The place, where history meets Argentine tango! It will be a huge privilege for us to dance again in this magical and elegant place, with a perfect wooden floor. About the CRYSTAL HALL The original hall was built in the first half of the 19th century, during the renovation of Health home. It was decorated with magnificent Venetian chandeliers, precious paintings, and impressive marble pillars. The hall was called Ferdinands hall. As soon as it was built, it began hosting famous names; a visit by Emperor Ferdinand and most notably the world famous pianist Franz Liszt in 1846. Another Emperor who was impressed very much by the beauty of this building and the magnificent hall is Franz Joseph I. The Hall main attraction The hall main attraction is a collection of paintings of the Austrian painter Schrter from 1912, where are depicted the main events and people of the place development and five hand-made crystal chandellers from Rogaka Glassworks. Painting description: painting 1: Ban Petar Zrinjski at the spring in around 1640, painting 2: Regional governor, Count Ferdinand Attems, in 1825, is looking at the plans for the construction of a spa, picture 3: Austrian Archduke Janez on arrival at the spa resort in 1836, picture 4: Emperor Francis Joseph I. visiting the Spa in 1883. The fate of the last painting is very unusual and interesting in 1925, the Slovenian painter Ivan Vavpoti painted the arrival of King Aleksandar Karaorevi in Rogaka Slatina on the empty back of the painting.
