The Dancer's Workout® Newcomer's Orientation/Class At Our North Raleigh Location

The Dancer's Workout® is now offering our exhilarating adult dance fitness classes in North Raleigh! We've rented studio space at 241 Horizon Drive, Raleigh, NC (off of Six Forks - at the TLAC) on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 pm! These adult dance fitness classes are designed for former and current ballet, jazz, and contemporary dancers. Today we will hold our TDW Newcomer's Orientation where you can meet the instructors and some of our students, learn more about our classes, and decide whether TDW is right for you! We'll discuss the best shoes for these classes (jazz sneakers, jazz slippers, or ballet slippers) - bring what you have. Wear dance clothes (most wear stretchy black pants, tank tops, and a sports bra). You are invited to take class with us as our guest today (free first class). After class we'll provide you with our weekly schedule, class package options, and helpful links and resources. Learn more here: [hidden]. To prepare for your TDW Newcomer's Orientation and class, please RSVP for today's Newcomer's Orientation/Class in this meetup system ([hidden]) and review our choreography review video, which can be found here: [hidden]. You do not need to memorize the choreography, but it will help you enjoy your first class more if you watch the video prior to arriving. Below you can find general information about our classes. Please read it before RSVPing to our classes to determine whether these classes are right for you! General Information The Dancer's Workout® (TDW) is a super-fun, high-energy, intermediate-level adult dance class/dance fitness option for current and former dancers. Each one-hour TDW class includes careful warm-up and stretching, toning exercises, and a thorough dance cardio workout. Intermediate, advanced, and advanced-beginner adult dancers alike enjoy the exciting choreography done to all pop music and the way the class keeps everyone moving the entire time. The Dancer's Workout® is NOT a beginner's dance class; it requires prior training in ballet, jazz, and/or hip hop. Every TDW masterclass includes movement sequences from multiple genres of dance, including ballet, jazz, contemporary and beginner's hip-hop. Its instructional choreography builds upon itself throughout the hour and offers a powerful, non-stop dance cardio workout which culminates in a dance to a featured pop song. The last 15 minutes of each class is devoted to toning exercises that are also choreographed to pop music and that target abs, glutes, inner and outer thighs, and other problem areas. These classes are great for former dancers who want to find their way back home and for active dancers interested in maintaining flexibility and cardio stamina. Jazz sneakers or jazz slippers preferred. Jules, the founder of The Dancer's Workout®, is a classical ballet graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts who teaches at various studios throughout the triangle. Very supportive atmosphere, especially for former dancers who want to dance again.
