2019 Chicago Tango Festival

Spice up your Spring with hot social tango dancing in Chicago. This weekend will provide you with a unique opportunity to share your love of tango, meet new people and celebrate Spring in Chicago. The primary curriculum, featuring instructors from Buenos Aires, is designed with the experienced dancer in mind. A separate curriculum for the more novice dancer is also available. The 2019 Chicago Tango Festival ([hidden]) will be at the Hilton Rosemont from 6pm, March 28, 2019 to 2am, April 1, 2019. The instructors include Johana Copes (Buenos Aires) and Leonardo Sardella (Buenos Aires/New York), Alicia Pons (Buenos Aires), Jose Luis Ferraro (Buenos Aires) and Rika Fukada (Japan) and Facundo de la Cruz and Florencia Blanco (Buenos Aires), and Evi Stein (Buenos Aires. DJs include: Dr. Patrick Goodbar (South Korea), Alicia Lazarowski (North Carolina/Argentina), Ray Barbosa (Chicago), Jae Youn (North Carolina/Korea), Mark Sakowski (Maryland), and Phyllis Williams (Dallas). Information on the instructors and DJs can be obtained here: [hidden] The Festival will be held at the Rosemont Hilton, 5550 N. River Road, Rosemont, Illinois. The rate is $127+tax per night. There is a reduced overnight parking rate ($12 per day for overnight guests and $12 for daily parking passes). As usual, we also plan to have some special “master classes”, as well as an "intensive beginner bootcamp" for the novice or new dancer. Once we announce our workshop class schedule, registration priority to the workshops will be based on your date of registration to the Festival.
