Metro Art Presents The Return Of Salsa At The Station; Latin Dance Party At Union Station’S Historic Ticketing Hall This Summer

The Historic Ticketing Hall at Union Station is the setting for a Latin dance party as Metro Art Presents a vibrant night of salsa on Friday, July 20, from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Featuring live music by dynamic band LA Picante, the event begins with a salsa lesson from noted instructor Kati Hernandez followed by a social dance. One of Southern California’s most exciting and progressive salsa bands, LA Picante plays a unique blend of classics by such greats as Ruben Blades, Willie Colon and Los Van Van. The group is composed of musicians who have played in some of the top bands in Los Angeles. Kati Hernandez will kick things off at 8 p.m. with a “salsa suelta” lesson (salsa without a partner) followed by the social dance and live music by LA Picante at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, and no reservations are required.
