Semi-Private Tango In The Round, 4 Weeks In Boston

with AnaLinda and Paul In Boston’s South End in our lovely studio (with plenty of parking). 2 hours of pivot-based circular movement. Followed by a half hour guided Practica. This is truly the difference between feeling blocky and square in the music, and more subtle, fluid, musical movement. Introduction to the half turns, and change of front in the dance (a form of looping whereby the follower gets to walk forward!!). (THINK: Instead of walking and straight lines we will be doing ways to curve the dance and loop on the dance floor). We use ochos that curve the dance. We will do work on axis, frame and the musicality of melody. This class is taught in Close Embrace, but we can integrate you into that. We rotate partners to develop the strongest lead/follow improvisational skills. You can dance Tango in venues across the city and world-wide. JOIN US in opening the Pandora's Box that is Argentine Tango. SCHEDULE: Class 8-10. Please come on time as the door locks downstairs. 10p Supervised Practice/Coaching session (optional).
