BIO Inés Muzzopappa has been involved in tango since she was a child. Her mother is a tango and modern dancer, and her father has always been very interested in tango music. As a result, Ines danced from the time she was a small child, but at the age of 14 she decided to do it in a more formal way. At that point, she started going to Jorge and Liliana Rodriguez’s lessons and after that, to Carlos and Rosa Perez’s lessons, at the legendary Sunderland Club in Villa Urquiza neighborhood. In 2006, at one of those lessons, she met Dante Sanchez with whom decided to participate in the Campeonato Metropolitano de Tango and the Campeonato Mundial de Tango Salón in 2007, very important tango competitions organized by the city of Buenos Aires. In both competitions, they reached a very high position, 2nd place in the Metropolitano and World Champions in the Campeonato Mundial! From that moment on, she started receiving opportunities to teach and perform around the world. However, she continued to study with the many of the best tango dancers, including: Federico Naveira, Ariadna Naveira, Olga Besio, Gustavo Naviera & Giselle Anne, Geraldine Rojas & Ezequiel Paludi, Rubén & Sabrina Veliz, Pablo Verón, Sabrina Masso, Diego Amorin & Cecilia Capello, Jonathan Spitel & Betsabet Flores. Currently, she co-organizes Bendita Milonga along with Pablo Retamar and Orquesta Típica El Afronte and she perfoms in many different milongas and events in Buenos Aires, as well as throughout the world. Ines taught at the Philadelphia International Tango Festival in 2016, and was very well-received by our community. We can't wait to have her back! More Info below.
