Beginner Swing & Solo Jazz Classes!

Swing Remix Dance Classes Every Tuesday at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm @Kilowatt Dance Theater 4 West 43rd St #803 Instructors: Jaime Shannon and Tawni Lanford Take both classes for $30pp! 7:00 pm Intro Swing Class Description (Level 1): Learn cool moves to classic tunes! This progressive, basic swing dance class will teach the absolute beginner how to Jitterbug or what is now known as East Coast Swing. This partner dance class will teach beginner moves in swing and the technique to execute them properly. The class will learn a routine over a four week period. No partner, experience or TALENT required. $20pp 8:00 pm Solo Jazz (Open Level): Solo jazz is a style of swing era dance that one dances by themselves. This authentic solo vernacular jazz dance includes moves and steps that you can incorporate into partner dance, such as Suzie-Q, Boogie Backs, Charleston, and The Shorty George. No experience or partner required! $20pp *All classes are 55 minutes, are drop-in and don’t require preregistration. *Masks, Proof of vaccination and identification are required to attend these classes. *Cash only please *Partner dance class participants must rotate partners unless you bring your own person.
