Rueda in the Park is run by a group enthusiastic dancers who meet every Sunday afternoon to dance salsa, rueda and enjoy some good conversation and often cake. We usually meet at 4pm on the stage at Argyle Square on Lygon St in Carlton, Melbourne. Occasionally though there will be other events on and we also sometimes have away days at events and festivals so check out our page for any changes. We dance throughout the year. The stage is covered so the weather does not (usually) bother us. This is a free event that we run each week because of our love of dancing and the salsa community. Our event is a social dance event. Although we call ourselves Rueda in the Park, we dance a lot of social salsa as well. We do not teach salsa or rueda. Everyone is welcome to come and join us and have a chat and a social dance with us. However we ask that you only join in the ruedas if you are experienced in that style of dance. It only takes one person who doesn't know what they are doing for the whole group dance to go wrong and that makes some people unhappy. We will look forward to seeing you for a dance in the park one day. More Info below.
