30th Annual American Brotherhood Weekend 2019

The 30th American Brotherhood Weekend (ABW) has something for everyone. Join us for a weekend filled with fun, family, food and festivities. ABW is a celebration of the bond of Leather families. It is a weekend filled with great energy and camaraderie, and we look forward to welcoming you into the American Leather Family, October 11-13. 2019. (Note: This schedule is the very basic structure of events and is very tentative and subject to change. Check back frequently as this schedule will be updated as event details are finalized.) FRIDAY OCTOBER 11, 2019 5:00 -10:00 pm Registration Touché Chicago 6412 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60626 Pick up or purchase your weekend packages, get some ABW swag, ask questions and ease into the American Leather Weekend Event. 8:00 pm Meet and Greet Cocktail Party Touché Chicago Our opening reception where you can meet and greet with contestants, judges and other attendees. 10:00 – 11:00 pm Contestant and Judges Introductions Touché Chicago Your first change to meet the judges and contestants for American Leatherman, Leatherwoman and Leatherboy. 11:00 pm – 4:00 am Opening Party with M.A.F.I.A. Chicago Touché Chicago Mid-American Fists In Action are enjoying their monthly bar night with us at ABW. Learn more about this local group and ask them about their party that will be Saturday night. They will tell you all about their group and have some fun raffles to support their organization. 9:00 pm – 2:00 am Dungeon Time The Leather Rose Association (LRA) Address provided at Weekend Registration Weekend packager holders are invited to use this private membership dungeon space. We thank the LRA for returning as a sponsor and offering this space to attendees. (Note: Last scene must begin by 1:00 am.) SATURDAY OCTOBER 12, 2019 11:00 am – 1:30 pm Eye Openers, Continental Breakfast & Registration Continues Touché Chicago 6412 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60626 Join with fellow attendees for a continental breakfast, a cup of coffee and maybe a Bloody Mary or a Screwdriver to get your day started off right. Need to pick up your weekend package or purchase some vintage ABW swag, we’ve got you covered! 1:30 – 5:00 pm American Brotherhood Contests – Part 1 Leather Archives & Museum 6418 N Greenview Ave, Chicago, IL 60626 The first day of competition begins at 2:00 pm. Categories include: Introduction, Formal Speech, Hot Wear and the ever popular Fantasy. Come prepared to bid on fabulous baskets assembled by our contestants as we auction them to the highest bidders. Proceeds from the basket auction go to support the ABW Travel Fund. 5:00 – 10:00 pm Attendees are welcome to return to Touche for cocktails after the contest concludes, or head out for dinner on their own, with friends and new acquaintances. 5:00 – 7:30 pm ABW Anniversary Dinner Location TBD 8:00 – 10:00 pm ABW Vital Bridges Charity event TBD Touché Chicago Raffles, music, fun and all on behalf of Vital Bridges our partner charity for ABW. We celebrate our ABW family with the Bears if you choose to venture in on Saturday night. SUNDAY OCTOBER 13, 2019 11:00 am – 1:30 pm ABW Celebration Brunch Touché Chicago 6412 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60626 Join with fellow attendees for the final day of American Brotherhood Weekend, a cup of coffee and maybe a Bloody Mary or a Screwdriver to get your day started off right. This full hot brunch with eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, salads, fruit, and pastries, is sure to please you on our final day. Need to pick up your weekend package or purchase some vintage ABW swag, we’ve got you covered! 1:30 – 4:30 pm American Brotherhood Contests – Part 2 Leather Archives & Museum 6418 N Greenview Ave, Chicago, IL 60626 The final day of competition begins at 2:00 pm. See the contestants in their final categories of competition, and find out who will be sashed as the next American Leather Family! Come prepared to bid on fabulous baskets assembled by our contestants as we auction them to the highest bidders. Proceeds from the basket auction go to support the ABW Travel Fund. 4:30 – 10:00 pm (or later) American Brotherhood Weekend Victory Party Touché Chicago All weekend attendees, contestants, judges and staff are invited to join in a final family meal to celebrate the American Leather Family.
