Just come! Come learn Brazilian Zouk at our weekly Monday night lessons! Brazilian Zouk is life! It's a partner dance direct from Rio de Janeiro, with roots in lambada. If you haven't heard of it, it's because it's fairly new, arising in the 90s. FAQsWhat do I bring?-- Bring your lovely self and your good vibes. Do I need to bring a partner?-- Just you boo! Feel free to bring friends but also feel free to come solo! Do I need special shoes/clothing?-- You don't need dance heels or dance shoes. You can take the class in your socks or any shoe (soft sole to protect the dance floor). Actually, for the ladies, I suggest flats. (I know, that's a bit different from other styles, right?!). I'll explain in class. For clothing, anything is fine! Wear something you feel good in! Clothing that allows movement is best! What is zouk?-- I'm so glad you asked! It's better I just show you, because it can take so many shapes and forms depending on the music and the dancers.
