Latin Dance Class

Come and learn beginning Bachata and Salsa techniques with the fabulous and talented Kevin Whiteneir!! This Latin Dance class will take place at the Hairpin Arts Center (2810 North Milwaukee Avenue) in Logan Square. Beginner techniques will introduces students to the foundations of Salsa and Bachata dancing. Sudents will learn the eight count footwork that forms the basis for Salsa dancing, as well beginner spins, tricks, and lead-and-follow stylinh to add flair to their Salsa and Bachata choreography. There will also be an Afro-Diasporic art exhibition on display while the class takes place. 17 artists of the African Diaspora will displaying a multitude of interdisciplinary works: sculptures, paintings, fashion pieces, neon lights scultpures, fiber materials pieces, and so much more!
