Houston Poetry Fest 2019

Robin Davidson, a resident of Houston for more than 50 years, was named Houstons second poet laureate by Mayor Annise Parker in 2015 and served through April 2017 under the leadership of Mayor Sylvester Turner. As one of her projects as Houstons poet laureate, she put together a team of poets and poet organizers to create the anthology, Houstons Favorite Poems, which was modeled after U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinskys Favorite Poem Project. At this event, she has invited poets who worked on the project to read from Houston's Favorite Poems. It should be quite an entertaining evening. More Info below.
