Beaminster Festival 2019

We have some fantastic events lined up for you with most of the programme settled. Lois Pearson We are very excited to announce the appearance of the internationally famous tenor Mark Padmore, who will present a gorgeous programme with Morgan Szymanski, guitar. Right at the beginning of her career is BBC Young Musician, 17 year old Lauren Zhang, piano; once more we feature a future star! Many of you will remember the young curly haired clarinettist Emma Johnson, BBC Young Musician 1984, and she will be playing early 20th century jazz in her jazz trio. Bound to be a sell out is the great Ben Waters and his band who will be playing at the school. This will be one of his last appearances in the area as he is retiring from public performances at the end of this year. There will be the biennial Art Exhibition in the Public Hall which attracts many people into the town and shows the brilliant local talent we have amongst both students and adults alike. We will be working on engaging all members of the community, young and old, and very much hope that we can arrange lots of events for us all to enjoy.
