Returning to Woodward Shakespeare Festival 10 years after her acclaimed production of Hamlet, Arlene is thrilled to have been invited back to direct Othello this season. At home both in the spotlight and behind the scenes, with over 35 years of theatrical experience in both professional and community theatre from coast to coast, Arlene has studied and worked with some of the most acclaimed names in the worlds of theatre and Shakespeare. With a degree in Theatre Arts and a postgraduate diploma from The Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK, she has a passion for new play development as well as for the great playwrights composers of the past eighty years, such as Tennessee Williams, Noel Coward, Neil Simon.
