Sultry Salsa Nights - Society: Culture House

Salsa lessons and dancing every Thursday night at the Society: Culture House in Santa Rosa. Doors open at 6pm for food and cocktails, dance lessons begin at 7pm, and dancing continues until 10:30 in the evening. Salsa lessons by Irene Silva and Jesus Cruz of Santa Rosa Salsa. No partner or experience necessary. Santa Rosa Salsa is Your Salsa Connection for Sonoma County, presiding at the helm of what is an actively growing Latin music and dance community. It has become well known for creating the energy of joy and connection through Latin dance classes, boot camps and monthly live music events. Propelled by the purpose of bringing live Salsa music to Sonoma County, visionary entrepreneur Irene Silva founded Santa Rosa Salsa in 2001. Following the rhythm of her heart, Silva began her vigorous pursuit of Salsa dance in 2000. At the same time, she began conceptualizing a live Salsa music and dance eventfundraiser that would help support a deserving cause. In only five weeks time, Silva secured a venue, hired a band, assembled volunteers, and hosted what became her first success story as a promoter; a cause which raised funds to help feed numerous deserving children from the Kids Kingdom Orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico.
