Balboa Heaven in Baltimore! NOVEMBER 2-4 Join us for some incredible live music, internationally renowned instructors, and a weekend full of balboa friends and fun! The Balboa strictly is open to dance partnerships. There will be only one strictly competition at Balhalla weekend. Register with your partner, and compete against other partners, showing off your best balboa skills! We encourage those who are professional dancers, dance teachers, or regularly place in major balboa event competitions to contact us with regard to competition levels for pro dancers prior to registration. Thanks!In the Jack Carey Competitions, leads and follows register independently and are matched up at random with other dancers! Dancers in the prelims will dance with three different partners, and are judged as individuals on their technique, style, aesthetics, and how they connect with their partners. During the finals, dancers will draw a partner, and compete with that partner. Couples will be judged together in the final round. Amateur: Amateur competition is for dancers who do not teach balboa regularly, and have not placced first or second in any major Balboa competition, such as California Balboa Classic, ILHC, Camp Hollywood, or ABW.
