From Europe to USA to McAllen—an evening of flamenco dancing and grand piano Concert in the Park at Quinta Mazatlan on Thursday, May 11th at 7:30 p.m.! Come and be amazed by performances by Yolanda Sobrado, a world famous flamenco dancer from Spain, and Nina McIntire, an internationally known composer and pianist from Russia. These two internationally renowned artists invite you to a captivating journey through the world of music and dance! Yolanda Sobrado is one of the world's best flamenco dancers. She has conquered the world of flamenco after starting training at the Spanish Academy of Dance M. Armengou (Santander), the Royal Conservatory of Music and Dance in Cordoba, the School of National Ballet of Spain! Sobrado has been part of such representative groups as the Antonio Gades Ballet, the Spanish Ballet Rafael Aguilar, the Manuela Vargas Company, the José Greco Ballet and the Cristina Hoyos Company. Nina McIntire completed her degree in Master of the Fine Arts at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and at first had a career as a classical concert violinist performing around the world with Solo Concerts, Chamber Music and Symphony Orchestras. Recently, Nina has been very active on the international music scene as a composer and pianist, presenting her latest project “Ivory Fantasy” - a fascinating combination of classical music and her original compositions arranged in a revolutionary modern style, integrating a variety of modern popular music genres accompanied with her own vivid and colorful visuals.
