Mommy & Me Creative Movement And Music Class

Mommy & Me dance classes are for children 6 months up to the age of 3 years. Music, movement, balance, and basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly, and positive manner. This type of class includes mom or dad or another loved one participating in the class along with the little dancer. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving along while parents take an active role in encouraging, supporting and keeping the little dancer on track Classes will focus on locomotor vs. non-locomotor movement; Shapes and levels; Timing and moving to the basic beat of music; Exploring character and animal movement; Spacial Patterns; Children’s Literature, and more! – Material will build from class to class! We will also conclude each class with a portion of ‘Open Gym’ to allow the children free time to explore tunnels, mats, stability balls, trampolines, and more. These classes are a fun learning environment for both mother and child, not only stimulating the learning process in the child but nurturing the existing bond between mother and child in a way that allows the mother to break away from the stresses of parenthood, while learning how to simultaneously play and grow with your child.
