Sarri Sanchez returns Wednesday for CMDC class! Just $5 cash at Brockus Project Studios...oh, and Craig will of course be playing for her! SARRI SANCHEZ is a Los Angeles-based dancer, choreographer and educator. She holds a BA in World Arts and Cultures/Dance from UCLA and an MFA in Dance from Hollins University/American Dance Festival. Sarri serves as artistic co-director of the movement collective IN/EX Dance Project, as well as co-head of the dance department at Renaissance Arts Academy in Los Angeles. She has performed with several distinguished artists including Maria Gillespie, Liz Hoefner-Adamis, Mike Kelley, Laura Karlin and most prominently, for the past seven years as a founding member of Holly Johnston’s Ledges and Bones Dance Project. Craig Shields is an L.A.-based percussionist and member of the Latin alternative folk band Cuñao. In recent years, Craig has performed with the Los Angeles Percussion Quartet, Efflorescence, Duende Flamenco, The Rock Collection, and Eighteen-Squared. He also appears at special events throughout the year including the Renaissance Pleasure Faire and Oktoberfest at the Pomona Fairplex. Craig regularly accompanies modern and ballet classes for the Contemporary Modern Dance Collective, Chapman University, and CSU Fullerton, and has previously accompanied for The Wooden Floor and Backhausdance in Orange County. He holds degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Education from Chapman University (2012) and continues to freelance throughout Southern California. More Info below.
