Adult Beg. Modern 1 Workshop With Kathy Mohn

Kathy’s Adult Beginning Modern 1 Dance workshop is based on two important ideas: that we all need to move, and that dance enriches our daily lives. Classes will enable participants to find beauty and possibility in simple, accessible movement. Students are invited to adapt movement to their own bodies and fitness levels, while learning to dance with insight, musicality and phrasing. Kathy will introduce or refresh basic modern dance concepts and movement vocabulary, allowing students to experience better health, flexibility, balance, and increased strength. Kathy Iverson Mohn grew up in Redlands, California. She holds an MA in Dance from the University of Southern California and a Dance-Theater license from Augsburg College. Kathy has studied with a variety of renowned dancers and choreographers, and she has taught at several colleges and universities.
