Sunday Swing! Blues For Lindy Hoppers

Do you enjoy blues music? Are you looking for ideas you can try out when the music slows down? If so, join us for an intensive two-hour workshop that will introduce partnered blues dancing for those who already have some familiarity with swing. No partner necessary, as we'll rotate for those comfortable doing so. Instructors: John & Shoshi Krieger-Joven. Tohn & Shoshi are longtime dancers throughout NYC, John DJs and teaches for a variety of swing events including Frim Fram and Brooklyn Swings, and lucky for us, they're now based on Long Island! Their teaching is grounded in the blues aesthetic, physical expression of the emotions of the music, solid technique, and the joy of movement. They teach students to find their own styles, voices, and ways of moving within the fundamentals of the dance and the conversation between partners.
