**THE POINT COOK CUBAN SALSA CLASSES - NOW OPEN** at: **Point Cook Community Learning Centre** 1-21 Cheetham Street Point Cook \* Same building as the Point Cook Library Building \* We are in Main Room 1 - opposite the Reception Desk as you walk in. **EVERY MONDAY** *(except on Public Holidays we are closed)* **\* NEWLY ADDED 30 MINUTE** **INTRODUCTION TO SALSA BASICS SESSION:** \- A new 30 minute session for new absolute beginners have been included into the Beginner Salsa program\. \* All absolute beginners must first attend this 6.30PM Introduction session. This will prepare you for the 7PM main class. \* Total Cuban Salsa Beginner class time: 1 hour & 30 minutes **NEW MONDAY PROGRAM 2022:** **6.30PM - SALSA BASICS** \- Here the Basics are broken down slowly step by step *(\* All New absolute beginners must attend this session* *before starting the main 7PM class)* **7.00PM - 8.00PM** **CUBAN SALSA BEGINNER** (Main class) \* At this stage - we expect all students to know their basics \* Absolute beginners must do the 6.30PM class first. \- This will prepare you for this 7\.00PM main class session\. **8.15PM - 9.15PM** **CUBAN SALSA INTERMEDIATE** (Main class) (Cuban salsa / Rueda De Casino) *\* Please arrive 10 minutes earlier for registration.* \*\* At the moment there are no weekly free intro salsa session. This will be re-introduced back at a later date. *\* No experience necessary - No partner required - Open to all adult ages* \* No bookings required but if you know you are attending - please RSVP or leave a message to let me know as it helps to balance ratio of men to ladies on the night. **COST:** From Monday 22nd August onwards - the new class cost will be: $18 per class or $28 for all classes on the night. *\* We only accept CASH on the night* **CENTRE PROTOCOLS:** \* Masks are recommended \* If feeling unwell or have any flu like symptoms, please do not attend any classes \* If you are a close contact, as a precautionary measure, we ask you not to attend any classes until after 7 days of negative results \* If you have just returned from Overseas or Interstate, as a precautionary measure, we ask you not to attend any classes until after 7 days \* We recommend sanitizing hands frequently **What To Wear:** \* Best shoes - low or flat shoes with smooth sole shoes, such as leather sole shoes. \* Avoid runners or sneakers as these are made to grip the floor and can impede your movement and turns. \* Clothing - comfortable, casual clothing is fine **MEDICAL:** Please consult your doctor before taking any salsa classes if you have breathing problems, heart conditions, knee, back or shoulder injuries or are taking prescribed medication that may effect your health **PRIVATE LESSONS:** We offer private lessons on a one-to-one basis, with or without your dance partner or for private groups at a time that suits you. Private salsa lessons are a great way to improve your salsa dancing skills as quickly as possible by covering salsa dancing in more detail with individual attention. More Info below.
