Outside Solo Swing Dance Lesson At Astoria Park!!

Please note! The time has changed for this week! Time: Sunday 1:00-2:00 Location: At the rooftop of the Pool Entrance Building, Astoria Park Price: Free or Donation *Cancellation due to weather will be notified here by 3:30 pm on Sunday. *Wearing a mask is required. We will either spread out in lines or make a big circle to keep distance from one another. This fun and easy to follow class will Introduce solo jazz movements for beginner dancers. 40 minutes of instruction and 20 minutes of free dancing to Big Band swing jazz music! (I may keep playing music a bit longer if you show up just for dancing.) Every Sunday, we will learn a few solo jazz moves created and developed by Black-American dancers in the 30s and 40s as an integral part of Lindy Hop. Using these moves, we will explore our own creativity and individuality. We will practice improvisation and learn how to express our own voice - fundamental values of Lindy Hop. No experience necessary!! *Wearing a mask is required. We will either spread out in lines or make a big circle to keep distance from one another.
